Bolloré is the French family behind the Bolloré group of companies, which engages in communication, logistics and energy. The business was founded in 1822 as Papeteries Bolloré, a paper manufacturer near Quimper in northwest France.
Vincent Bolloré took over leadership of the family business in 1981 after a period working in banking. Under his leadership, the company diversified and expanded globally through several acquisitions, including a 26.28 per cent stake in mass media conglomerate Vivendi and control of multinational advertising giant Havas. Vincent Bolloré’s son, Cyrille Bolloré, replaced his father as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bolloré in 2019. Cyrille’s brother, Yannick Bolloré, serves as Chairman and CEO of the Havas Group. Their brother Sébastien is Chairman of Blue La, Inc. and Omnium Bollore SAS. Their sister Marie Bolloré is Chairman of the Supervisory Board for Compagnie du Cambodge SA and CEO, Director & Marketing Manager at Blue Solutions. She also sits on the board at Bolloré with her brothers and other family members.
