The OSI Group LLC is a global supplier of food products to some of the world’s largest foods ervice and retail companies. Headquartered in Aurora, Illinois, the OSI Group was founded as a Chicago area meat market and butcher shop by Otto Kolschowsky.

Established as Otto & Sons, the company became the fast-food restaurant McDonald’s first supplier of ground beef in 1955, a relationship that continues to this day. Officially adopting the OSI Industries name in 1975, the company began international expansion during the late 70s and early 80s with ventures in Europe, Latin America and Asia.

The company established its global presence throughout the 90s and 2000s with meat, poultry and produce business acquisitions while further expanding its network of production facilities in the US.

In 2019, the OSI Group partnered with Impossible Foods to produce plant-based protein products.

Today, OSI Group is one of the largest privately held companies in the US with over 65 facilities and 20,000 employees in 17 countries. The company generates annual revenue of more than $6 billion.
